Journalism + Design Capstone
Here's what I produced for my final project in the Journalism + Design program. I worked on my capstone for the entirety of the Fall '21 semester. I interviewed 10 different subjects. My zine told the stories and experiences of women with ADHD. Written and designed by me.
I knew I wanted my project to be about ADHD. At the start of the semester, I was unsure what angle I wanted the story to take. Then I knew I had to tell the stories of different women's experiences living with ADHD. This angle was personal to me. It felt relevant and yet not too medical. I didn't want jargon to get in the way of the experiences. I like to think of these interviews as conversations we had together discussing ADHD and its impact. My project took the form of a zine.
I'm currently revising this zine with the goal to print and distribute.
